Item withdrawn from sale.

Hello. I received an email from EBAY stating that the item I bought had been withdrawn from sale (it may pose a security risk). I was advised to contact the seller, which I did. The seller replied that EBAY had sent this message to all of the seller's customers. And that I shouldn't worry, as I've been using the item for four years and nothing has happened. What should I do?                                                                                                                                              Item details: 162584153404 - WHITE 4/5 T-WAY 13A SWITCHED MULTI PLUG ADAPTER With Or Without Surge Protection

Ebay MBG is only for 30 days.

After 4 years this is between you and seller.

Up to you if you still use it.

Don't trivialise safety recalls. They don't usually mean that an item is immediately dangerous, but that in some circumstances it MAY present a danger. Many imported electrical devices don't comply with UK safety requirements; for electrical items this usually means a potential risk of electric shock or fire. Don't put yourself or other people at risk by ignorng it.

You certainly shouldn't rely on the word of a seller who obviously doesn't doesn't to know!  If you search online you can probably find the reason for this recall. If the seller is a UK business seller and won't cooperate you should inform trading standards. (If they're in China, just bin it!)
