Item tracking as still at Depot 2 weeks after sending. Where do I stand?

I've an order for a £145 camera that the buyer is saying they haven't received.  The Royal Mail tracking shows it was due to be delivered mid August but not updated since.  I've also not had the camera back.

The buyer has logged a INR case with Ebay and i've until the 4th September to respond.

Where do I stand?  I've logged a case with Royal Mail but as I don't have supporting documentation for a £145 purchase, just the sale info, I know i'm not going to get compensation back from them.

Do I just have to refund the customer and chalk it up to life?

Cheers,

Andy.

Unless you can prove delivery, you have to refund buyer through case.

Do it before 4th September or ebay will force it & you get defect.

Any claim you make to RM is nothing to do with buyer.
