Item showing as delivered, store says not there, EBay refusing to refund

I ordered an item to be delivered to a Morrisons store to be collected.  Gave the details to the store staff including the code - store staff said they do not accept eBay deliveries. They looked for it but confirmed not there!

Photo shows store system for collections - code not found.

I contacted the seller who said not to worry as eBay will look into it and refund me the buyer. Ok I thought as I’d given photo proof to eBay and the seller showing that Royal Mail had delivered it the store, reviews of the store show an issue with items going missing etc.

Spoke to EBay on phone who took details but then cancelled the call!

Ebay have now closed the case.

I cannot collect an item if the store says 1 they cannot scan the code and 2 they’ve looked and it’s not there.

Surely this is an EBay issue if they are giving a collection location that doesn’t accept EBay deliveries as a collection option,

A case would close when the seller entered the tracking number to show it was delivered to that store.

If you are sure you were within 7 days after being notified it was in store when you went to collect the item, the store does not have to keep the item any longer,   then try turning now to your payment provider for help with your refund .
