For international transactions, when eBay collects VAT or sales tax during checkout as it always seems to do now (at least in my case), why don't they (eBay) instruct the international sellers absolutely to state on the declaration/shipping Label: "PDDP VAT and Taxes prepaid via eBay Checkout"? PDDP is the international code signifying that VAT, respectively sales tax was prepaid at the time of purchase.
Presently in the absence of PDDP noted on the shipment, most of us, perhaps all international buyers, are being charged double VAT, sales tax... First by eBay during checkout and then again by the post office in the destination country.
What can be done to encourage eBay to react?
Kind regards,
Alan
