Why is ebay still removing negs from any seller who contests them? They are taxing customers now for.. I mean charging customers "buyer protection" ?!
Referring to negs btw which are legitimate and meet eBays own policies (technically they can remove anything they want because theyre a private corp with a huge team of lawyers) but just asking really?
I just accepted it before but now it seems dafter

If feedback breaks the rules it will be removed.
However in your case a personal answer cannot be given as you have private feedback.

eBay does not "remove negs "from any seller who contests them". Anything but. The reality, as we know from sellers who complain that feedback was unfair, is that it's very hard for them to get negs removed. eBay's policy is that the buyer is entitled to express their opinion of the buying experience.
There are however rules about what can and can't be said and when either buyers or sellers break them the feedback is liable to be removed.
Although you only have 45 feedbacks yourself, it sounds as though you may have left an unusually large number of negatives if so many have qualified to be removed.
However it's impossible to offer any advice as you haven't told us what you said that was removed, and have made all your feedback private so that no-one can see what previous feedbacks you have left.

Well that's kind of irrelevant anyway to be blunt because this is not my main account. Do people use their main accounts on ebay community messageboards? Bit risky isn't it? Asking for trouble

It helps when people with an issue use the account with the issue. Otherwise our answers can only be generic and not focussed.
You won't find feedback mentioned as one of the published benefits of the BPF.

What are opinions like again? How did you come to that conclusion? Did you conduct a massive survey or something?

^LOL No, just no. Like I said, technically ANYTHING can be interpretted as something which infringes rules. Just as you could intrerpret this reply as argumentitive or provocative... or whatever else you want to make it. We can't say anything anymore. I feel completely stiffled and none the wiser of reasons that FB has been removed, without seemingly violating any policy. But like law.. I guess feelings don't come into it. It's frustrating.
I mean I've left positive feedback describing sexual actions, yet that has been left up!

When leaving feedback as a buyer or seller, it is always best to keep it brief! Unsatisfactory transaction” with low star ratings says it all.
Ebay did not do members any favours when they increased the amount that could be said in feedback, as giving life history of a problem will greatly increase the possibility of seller being able to have it removed.

Oh I forgot to add – the reps dealing with violations and determining outcomes are sourced abroad and half of them can't even speak full English, let alone understand the complexities of innuendo or British perceptions. All they have infront of them is a guide script
