I want to buy an item but there is no link to do so and seller says it's an ebay technical fault

I tried to buy an item but there is no "buy it now" link and the seller says it's  a technical fault with Ebay?

Not sure that is the case,as BIN works fine when offered on a listing!

Is this an auction style listing that did have a Buy It Now on it, but has now received a bid so it's been removed?

The Buy it Now feature is removed once the first bid comes in.
