I bought a device that was advertised with the wrong specifications

I bought a VR headset with an advertised 128GBs of storage, but I have just got it up and running and it says 64GBs; the person I bought it from has a No-return.

I paid very little for it and I somewhat want to keep it (that’s beside the point) it was falsely advertised I feel and I’m wondering what to do now?

If you want to return it for a refund, see eBay's money back guarantee. There is a link in it to every listing.

This sounds like another iffy product from China. Was the item listed as UK stock, or sold for personal import from China? If it was UK stock, your seller will be required to send you a prepaid return label.

If you prefer to keep it for a partial refund you can suggest this (but the seller doesn't have to agree).

For the future, please be aware that eBay even warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions".

Yes, that's correct. Things you buy here may be untruthfully described, poor quality, possibly unsafe or even illegal. Who would buy from a shop that stated this? If you choose to buy here, be aware of the risks. eBay is a jungle.

Open a return.

The seller may offer you a partial refund although they don't have to and they can insist you return for a full refund.

They would have to supply a return label.

Thank for this information.

it is from the UK, I assume the person just didn’t know what the specifications was, also the product is legitimate (Meta Quest 2).

I plan to tell the seller what has happened and see where it goes from there, Hopefully they’ll be more careful next time when selling.

I’ll probably not refund the product only because how little I paid for it, but also if they aren’t nice about it well that’s a different story

Thank you for this information.

I wasn’t expecting philosophy but it is a good quote!
