How to mark an item as received in-person despite buyer paying for shipping?

A buyer made an offer and I agreed. They paid for shipping but then decided to collect in-person (all of this communicated via eBay chat).

Once the item was collected I marked the item as 'dispatched'.

I was under the impression that the buyer could then marked the item as received, but when I asked them to do that they say that they don't have the option.

The item is currently marked as dispatched and I am concerned that if it stays that way for too long it will be me that runs into problems such as not getting paid out.

What is the right call of action in this situation? I've found it impossible to actually get hold of a real person from eBay support, so here I am on the forums.

As long as it's mark as dispatched you should be OK but the money will take 14 days to be released.
