You have previously sold 41 items.
I would advise having a look at other listings for motor vehicles and reading this:

I took over from my Dad who has since died, 10-15 years ago
He may have sold stuff I dont know
All I want to know is how to created a listing to sell my Jeep
Its the only thing I have that is worth anything
I am afraid the links dont tell me anything, they just go to the same thing
I never thought it would be so hard to sell on Ebay

Classified ad is best.
1 listing fee, no other fees.
Buyers come to you and pay cash or bank transfer, NO ebay payments.

I am not a business, just a private seller
I'd want to put it up for auction
I'd like people to look at it, give it a test drive
How they pay is up to them (cash would be preferable, but its lot of cash to be walking around with)

The listing would specify 'cash payment'.
You won't be able to list anything for sale until you change your feedback setting from private.
You feedback needs to be 'visible to everyone.
Change it on your feedback page.

No idea how to change my feedback profile, I thought it was public so every one could read it

There is a screenshot at the bottom of my reply which shows you the link you will be able to see on your own feedback page.
Change your setting from 'Private' to 'visible to everyone' by sliding the circle across.

Just found it, changed it

Now onto how to sell my Jeep, please
05-10-2025 3:44 PM
Read the previous replies - start by looking at similar items for sale and sold.
Take lots of photos.
List as a classified advert.

With auction, buyers can't view jeep.
Stick with classified ad, you can add contact info and allow viewings.

It's not up to them, if you look at any vehicle listing it says Cash on collection. Payment by card, PayPal is not allowed, and indeed not advisable, it's not a safe method of payment for vehicles.
Only accept cash or a bank transfer, and if the latter ensure that payment is confirmed, before releasing the vehicle and paperwork.

I have lots of photos, taken when I was renovating it and in its current condition
Which is pretty good
If I sell it as a classified are the fees higher?
Yes there are lots for sale on there, some are complete rubbish and they want silly money for them

Adding to advice already given ---- Not sold for a while and there have been a number of changes when now using eBay --- updating your account using a PC/Laptop and having a Current Bank Account on file may be required before a listing is accepted >

Strange I have always paid with paypal, but not a vehicle
I just want to try and list my jeep and not getting very far
05-10-2025 3:55 PM
Jeez, its getting complicated now
I thought it was simple making a listing on ebay

It is impossible for anybody to remotely 'talk' you through listinng an item.
You have been sent links to follow which would give you all the steps.
Here's how to create an eBay Classified Ad:

I couldnt agreee any more, hard work with emails and texts, I'd prefer talking some one
All I vcan do is try the links and see how that goes
I have clicked on various links, it hasnt gone well

I know you want to sell your jeep in an auction format, but ebay's rules are going to make it hard for you.
If you do list it for auction DO NOT use a reserve as these are expensive and have to be paid for upfront, and are not repaid if you don't sell the jeep. I think reserves are charged at about 4% of the reserve amount. You'd be better off starting the bidding at the lowest price you'd be happy to accept.
With auctions you cannot exchange contact details until a bidder has won the item and paid for it . This means no one can arrange to see or inspect it until they've paid, which means if they don't like it once they see it you'd have to cancel and refund.
Using a classified ad is much better for you because you make the one payment upfront, you can show your phone number and allow buyers to come and see it, inspect it, drive it etc and they can pay cash or bank transfer -as you've been advised, do not use Paypal. This would be dangerous for you.
You don't remove the ad until you get the payment in your hand, which means if you get timewasters you haven't removed the jeep from sale.
Have a look at other classified ads to get an idea of how to write out your add,

You can still pay with PayPal for all other things, just not for vehicles.
Never be brow beaten to accept anything else but cash or a bank transfer , for your vehicle.

Just one more tip if you list in a Classified ad format, as you feel a little unsure about listing.
Make 100% sure your listing, description, photos are accurate and nothing else you wish to add, because when you list it live, you cannot change any detail on the listing, and are charged that listing fee, as all listing fees, charged the second the item goes live.

I'll be stripping off stuff that I have bought and not wanting to sell with it, what you will see is what you will buy, but I will include a full tank of petrol
I will list things that work and dont work, and things I havent got round to fixing

I have given up trying to sell my Jeep on eBay
There are just too many hoops to jump through
I have full respect to those seller that post their stuf on ebay
When my Dad sold stuff it was a simple matter
I gues I will just remain a buyer
