No, Ebay are not responsible.

Did the buyer get the item less than 30 days ago?

Have they opened a return through Ebay or just messaged you?

If the buyer opens a case and says the item is faulty, you will have to provide a return label and refund the buyer when they return the item.

Hiya everyone :)

If the buyer is within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery they can open a case , as it's all automated you' have to accept and refund.

There is an appeal process, if you think the refund was unjust.

If this time has lapsed they cannot claim through eBay,  but could go to their payment provider, to try there.
