Hi,

I've sent an expensive jacket to a buyer on 20th Dec. She still hasn't received it!! I've got funds sitting on hold! The buyer said she tracked the parcel only to be sitting in a depot somewhere! This is terrible news. I have no way of knowing what to do! I said to my buyer She has to report it and ebay will open a case. I need the funds desperately too. Is this normal for  Ebay.

There is still a big backlog from Xmas so it will probably still arrive.   As a new seller payments may be on hold for up to 30 days regardless.   I wouldn't encourage the buyer to do anything for the time being.   If she opens a "not received" case she could get a full refund with item still on its way.

This is why Ebay hold your funds - if the buyer never receives the jacket, you will have to refund them in full and could have spent the money.

The buyer needs to open an 'item not received' case.

In the meantime, you could chase the carrier and see what is going on.  If they can help, and give you a delivery date, let your buyer know.
