Feedback for sellers

I have just tried to leave feedback for 2 sellers. However I cannot submit the feedback without rating the product. I have never used either of these products so how can I honestly rate these products. I want to be honest in my feedback and if the product is rubbish then I wish to say so and warn other buyers not to make the same mistake. By doing this EBay are encouraging false feedback. Is there a way to provide sellers with  without rating the product they supplied? If these is not then I will just not leave feedback in the future.

You do not have to leave feedback immediately,  or when you receive those constant reminders.

There are 60 days in which to leave feedback,  so time then to try out the items.

Feedback for sellers

Hi,
Really appreciate the response. I thank you for that, I was unaware that you could have up to 60 days.
60 days would be fine for the vast majority of the purchases and I do like to try new products to ensure I’m buying products that are fit for my purpose.
However I restore motorcycles and some of the purchases are bought months in advance of the work being started which would fall well outside the 60 days, as one project funds every second project.
I appreciate your message which has really helped.
Kindest regardsJohn

To be honest, being pressurised in to rating a product in order to leave feedback, I would just not leave feedback.

As you say many ratings will not really reflect the product, so devalues the whole idea.

Absolutely agree,
They did this when they introduced the concept. They later made it optional, now it’s back to compulsory. On my long term purchases I will just not leave feedback.
Kindest regards
