Feedback Rating keeps dropping

I have been a member since 2005 and only ever had one negative feedback which was earlier this year. It was on a new item but because was too small the buyer left negative feedback.  They didn’t contact me for any resolution, just straight in with the negative feedback.

I always had 100% feedback up until this stage. What I can’t understand is my feedback is now on 96.2%?  I have noticed it keeps dropping?

can anyone shed any light on why this might be happening.  I’m very confused.  I feel like deleted my account and starting again, but why should I because of one negative feedback.  I contacted eBay at the time who said that they couldn’t remove the feedback

Because it's a percentage of the feedback over 12 months, as positive feedback drops off the 12 month limit the percentage of negative to total increases.   On the other hand, if you get lots of new positive feedback it would decrease.

As it is based on last 12 months and the number of new feedback is not as high as fb becoming over 12 months old, it will continue to fall. As soon as the negative drops out of calculation it will go back to 100%.
