Being threatened from a seller for leaving a negative review

Has anyone been threatened for leaving a bad review?  My child left a bad review on a sellers account (as the item didn’t work).  At the time I was in hospital and for reasons  i was not in a position to respond to the sellers messages. On my return home I checked the messages on my account and the last message was a threat that if I didn’t remove the review they would leave a review on my account as a bad buyer which I am a 100% NOT! They also said they would remove their review if I did but of course they haven’t. … on contacting them I explained what happen and revised the review my child left I have not had any response or had the review removed..

is it the done thing for people to OPENLY THREATEN buyers on EBAY or even sellers for that matter? 
i have contacted EBay but not had a response as of today 21/08/25.

Never respond to a seller's threats that they will leave a negative for you as a buyer,  this is against eBay's rules and policy,  as you can see there is no red negative facility to leave negatives for buyers.

You have received one,  is this from the same seller ? Contact eBay Customer Services, and report it,  they will remove it,  and place a policy restriction on that seller's account.

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

I recommend contacting CS first thing in the morning as there's more chance of Dublin answering.
