Faulty item

I bought a used Dyson hoover which I was assured was in perfect working order.  I decided to have the Hoover serviced so that it would be in tiptop condition.  However, once the technician had taken a look at it, he informed me that it needed a new battery which cost £40.  As I have worked with this technician literally for decades, and I needed to make a decision, I decided to go for the service and new battery which altogether cost more than the Hoover.

Perhaps I should have decided to ask for a refund as I was told it was working perfectly but didn’t at the time.

What I immediately did was right to the seller and informed them of the situation.  Over two weeks have now passed and I have not received a reply.

Trying to resolve this situation via eBay help is turning out to be impossible.  I need to speak to an agent so that they can advise me how to proceed but I can never get through to an agent. There is no option.

Can anyone out there help me?

You should not have had it serviced.

You should have opened item not as described case and returned for full refund.

You have return item In same condition, so have invalidated ebay MBG.

This is between you and seller.

Your payment provider may help.

I see you are in Peru, so have to do all this from ebay.com.
