Fake items

Hi all, I have reported a fake item being listed on this site and the reply I got was : We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence. There is no option to chat to a real person so can you advise how to take this further? Its for a high value item and I don't want anyone to buy it thinking its real!! Thank you.

I'm afraid AI doesn't always see what we do when reporting,but sometimes you can get a CS agent to look at the report,if you can selected the correct info when reporting a listing.Bear in mind ebay do not authenticate listings.

The only peeps who can remove an item just by a message to eBay for being fake are those under Vero regulations,  read about Vero from a link at the bottom of most eBay pages.

eBay would never remove an item a member claims to be fake as eBay do not see that item,  and the complaint could be coming from a disgruntled buyer,  or even a competitor,  this does happen.

Should a buyer buy a fake item they are guaranteed a full refund under eBay's 30 day MBG policy.  If a seller is continually selling these items eBay take note and will take actions, restrictions or bans from selling.
