Evri opened and ruined item I sent

I sent a collectible figure to a buyer with secure packaging with evri, evri opened the item stuck a postage sticker to the box(which can’t be removed without damaging the box) and damaged the box in transit. Buyer wanted a refund which I sent but after waiting all day to speak to evri they’re just said it’s eBay I need to deal with but have no idea where to start, any help?

Apologies for the delay in answering, I've just seen your question has gone unanswered.

Did you buy your postage through eBay, and not direct from Evri?

Then, you need to claim from Packlink here:

A Packling reference number is needed too, and this can be found here:

If the figure was porcelain you won’t be covered by evri, whilst they will carry it they won’t pay any compensation for damage. Evri don’t pay compensation either for badly packed items which is a bit of a spurious excuse in my mind. Which they or rather packlink may use here if something has been stuck to the box.
