Ebay parts compatiblity

I bought a set of brake discs and pads. The compatibility checker said they were correct for my vehicle. Now, the seller sent me the what he listed, but the listing is wrong... I needed a 305mm disc, which I was supplied and the matching brake pads, which were incorrect, the seller sent me pads compatible with the 330mm disc, so this as a set can never be..!  Now, the eBay compatibility checker says this "set" was correct for my car, which it isn't. Reading the listing again the seller lists the wrong pads as a compatible set with the 305mm disc. I have been in contact with them, but they're being tricky. What to do and who's at fault? I feel I've been doubly mislead, by the parts compatiblity checker and the seller who is listing a mismatched disc and pad "set"

Receiving an item not as described , proceed this way:

If you are still within 30 days of the item's last estimated date for delivery you are guaranteed a full refund,  under eBay's 30 day MBG,  Money Back Guarantee policy.

Go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select... Return this item selecting the reason Item Does Not Match Description or Photos.

The seller needs to accept this case within 3 days and refund,  if they want their item back first , they need to pay for that fully tracked return postage, then on receipt of their item they have 48 hours to refund you.  If they don't ,  need to escalate the case,  ask eBay to step in, and they'll force the refund.

Never listen to any excuse or promise from the seller to close the case early,  and do not forget to escalate.

The seller is clear in his listing that he's supplying incompatible pads with the discs. I foolishly just trusted the eBay compatibility tool. Why the seller would list a mismatched set I have no clue and why the eBay compatibility checker missed this? I'd already stripped the car down and installed the discs, opened the pads box box and 😬... I had to send a relative out to find pads to fit locally... No name pattern parts at the same price I could have bought the branded ones 😠
