Courier losing items and arriving broken

Hi! I don't know if others are losing money and fed up with items being posted out through Evri - not as much Royal Mail and either just not arriving, or when they arrive the contents are broken.  In one week, deciding to sell my treasured Denby service - one bowl arrived smashed and 2 further orders - tracked

delivery said both would arrive last Saturday and they have not arrived. As I used the ebay 'simple' delivery scheme ebay have tsken over. Yes, they deal with the buyer, but I am now out of pocket for nearly £100! I might as well have given it all to charity! It's ridiculous!  Anyone on here have any suggestions how to get done reimbursement, please?

First of all, you don't have to use Evri.  If your experience with Royal Mail is better follow the steps below to deselect Evri on all of your listings.

  1. Go to your Postage preferences - opens in new window or tab.
  2. Select Edit next to Simple Delivery.
  3. Adjust the toggle next to the carrier you'd prefer not to use.

     

    If the item arrives broken, or doesn't arrive, Ebay deal with 'damaged in transit' and 'item not received' cases when you use Simple Delivery.

    Ebay refunds the buyers but you should not be out of pocket as Ebay pass the buyer's payment to you.

    Check payments and, if you are not getting paid for items where Ebay has refunded your buyers, contact Ebay Customer Services.

Thank you for this! As easy has put my payments 'on hold' I'd assumed that i lose out financially - hopefully incorrectly!
Yes, i do not want to use Evri again - broken promises, late or no delivery at all and broken items delivered, that were heavily packed by myself. This also reflects badly on sellers - and makes me worry, as I strive to be an honest and caring ebayer.
