Ive brought a north face brand new tracksuit and it's turned out to be an obvious counterfeit item. I've contacted Ebay they don't care they just say return for a refund. Which i get why but I just dont see why they think it's okay to just return to the buisness and let them proceed to carry on selling counterfeit goods? Is this a normal standard practice. Ive ordered the same tracksuit from north face to compare and the one I brought one ebay is nothing like it. Surely ebay is acting complicit in enabling counterfeit goods being sold on this platform. And this seller is still selling the counterfeit item on here. Also a fair few reviews saying the same thing?

You have 30 days from delivery to open an official 'Item not as described' case below --- follow the instructions carefully and escalate to eBay on day 4 for their assistance in obtaining a refund >

Thank you for your time in responding to my question/post but the point im trying to get at is surely something should be done to prevent this from happening again? Why is this seller still allowed to sell these counterfeit items.

Do you have written proof from North Face that its fake?
If not then eBay won't be interested.

I can try get written proof not sure how though. Surely several reviews saying the same thing should verify also the customer service agent also told me this seller has had high cases of returns. So frustrating

If you want a guaranteed refund, then you use ebay MBG.
Yes, you are returning a fake item to seller.
If you want to report seller to trading standards, ebay won't help with that.
Best you can do is inform North Face of seller & let them sort with ebay.
