I’m looking for some advice. I bought four cards from a seller in Hong Kong and expected combined shipping to be close to the $15 shown on one of the listings. I would’ve been fine paying around $20, but the seller quoted me $33 to ship four cards to the UK.
What doesn’t make sense is that the same seller currently has a $30 card listed with combined shipping and charges $17 shipping on that one. Normally, combined shipping means you pay the cost of one listing, not double.
I’ve also bought from Hong Kong in the last two months and only paid $8 shipping each time, with both orders worth over $20.
According to Hongkong Post rates, sending four cards should be around $15:

I requested a cancellation, but the seller denied it simply because I refused to pay the delivery fee — which feels like absolute robbery, and I genuinely believe he’s trying to finesse me.
The seller even claims “no profit from shipping,” but the numbers don’t add up. Is $33 normal for HK → UK, or does this seem inflated?

Whether it seems right or not, the issue is how much you want the cards at the price the seller is charging, including postage?
If you want them you pay it, if you don’t, don’t pay and you may end up with a none payment strike. One in 12 months won't matter.
You can't do anything about the postage.

I'd just rather not buy them, but he's having none of it. I spoke to a recent seller who shipped from Hong Kong, and I sent the new seller screenshots of how much it cost him. He will very likely ignore my messages. The combined postage should have been exactly what one of the cards was.

Then don't pay.
What you think the postage should be is irrelevant.

The seller has clearly said 'take it or leave it'.
What happens next is up to you.
If you choose not to pay, the seller may wait until they can cancel using the reason 'buyer didn't pay' in which case, you would get non-payment strikes on your account.
Is the $33 US or HK$? What is the cost in £?
