Who has charged you £10 delivery, and how?

If it was due to the seller underpaying for the postage, or not paying any at all (by misunderstanding what free postage meant), then ebay won't get involved so there is no-one to contact.

Freepost is for 3 day carrier,

If you chose 24 delivery, seller charges £5 per item.

Check your purchase history for details.

Re: Charged for free postage

As said there were two postage options, so you must have chosen the £5 option.

Not ebay’s fault or sellers fault, you had a choice and chose the wrong one.

Re: Charged for free postage

I didn’t request 24 delivery as the default option was simply Free Postage and if I had chosen 24 delivery I should have my items now and they haven’t been delivered. I tried to cancel but they said it was too late

Re: Charged for free postage

We have no access to order numbers, it's the item, number on the listing that we need.

Re: Charged for free postage

As has been said, the listing provides an option to pay £5 per item for 24 hour delivery.

We have no way of knowing whether you selected this by mistake, but if the order was for free postage there's no way the seller could have added £10. Sellers can only charge the total including delivery that is stated in the order page.

I can only suggest that you double-check your order details. If this confirms that you didn't upgrade to 24 hour delivery but eBay somehow charged you for it (remember that you pay eBay, not the seller) I think you need to contact eBay customer support.

Re: Charged for free postage

Yes thank you for your reply. The seller said it must have been eBay who charged me because the seller do not charge for delivery but I do not know how to get hold of the eBay department that deals with this concern

Re: Charged for free postage

Ebay won't charge you.

You paid sellers invoice that was generated when you bought items, so would have known if postage was added.

Re: Charged for free postage

Hi I have checked the order and I can not find any option for an alternative delivery method, the Free Postage is the only option

Plus there isn’t an option for alternative delivery as the seller stated, they don’t charge for delivery

Re: Charged for free postage

Yes there is, and they do charge for premium delivery. You haven't clicked on "See details" for the delivery options:

Other Courier 3 days
Estimated between Wed, 11 Dec and Tue, 17 Dec
Postage: Free postage

Other 24 Hour Courier
Estimated between Mon, 9 Dec and Thu, 12 Dec
Postage: £5.00

It seems pretty clear that you were charged for 24 hour delivery. Whether you selected this without realising it we don't know. As I said before, you need to double-check your order details. It's unlikely in the extreme that eBay would have charged you a higher price than in the details of your order, but if they did you should contact customer support. As has been said, the seller can't be responsible as your payment is made to eBay, not the seller.

Re: Charged for free postage

Thank you for your reply. I would never choose to pay for a quick delivery and I definitely do not recall choosing this option. I can not understand how I have been charged £10 when the Free Postage was the only option I could see. £10 is not going to change my life but to me it definitely looks like an error of which I can not explain. I will try again to check what you have advised and thanks for your correspondence
