Cash on collection

Hi, after winning my purchase I contacted the seller asking if they would like cash on collection to which he agreed so I collected and paid yesterday evening all good. But it’s saying I still need to pay for my item on my account how do I sort this out please.? Is it up to the seller or myself? Many thanks

Cash on collection is no longer valid unless your buying something like a car on ebay, as ebay have changed the format,so you pay first via the ebay checkout, then go and collect taking a 6 digit code emailed to you from ebay, so it can be scanned or manually entered by the seller so they get paid. Seller can mark as paid and you may be able to mark as dispatched.

Ok thanks for the reply.
I did do cash on collection for my purchase of a bivvy tent so it’s still showing that I need to pay though? How do I resolve this please?

There used to be an option to mark as payment sent via the dropdown menu for the item your purchases page.   I don't think it's there now but you could check it out.   If not ask the seller if there's anything at their end.    Otherwise there's nothing you can do.    As long as the seller doesn't do a non-payment cancellation you should be OK.

The seller did send me a message saying thanks for cash on collection I can screen shot it if needed so I should be ok then. I did contact him again but no reply. Just don’t want it still showing that I need to pay, and then have negativity on my profile.
