There are lots of ways to pay.

You should be able to pay with a debit or credit card, Paypal etc.

You don't have to put money into your Ebay account.

It is not possible to put money into your ebay account.

Is seller in the UK as unless they quote postage  to UK you cannot pay. What method in checkout are you trying to use to pay, there is plenty of choice.

Item number would help, as there can be various reasons for not being able to pay.

Check and update your account details including adding a Bank Card # to your Managed Payments setup in order to send and receive  payments using these links .
