Buyer protection fee.

I don't sell that oftern so only just come across this.

So...if a package is delivered ok, does the buyer get a refund of the 'Buyer Protection Fee?' This is not a good idea as those who sell low priced itemes are goting to find it a drawback. And...What are the benefits? If  a package goes walkies we notify ebay, they chat with the seller, we get a refund and the seller chases Royal mail/Evri (they lost 3 of my packages since the 31st January!) whomever. So where does buyer protection come in?  If I want to sell someting @ £40.00 then that is my choice. If Ebay want to stick on a BPF then I should have the choice to say no thatk you. What do you folks think?

Buyer protection for buyers mean they pay fir it now, and apart from having access to a phone to speak with a customer service peron, nothing about buyer protection has changed.

As for sellers there is no opt out,but tracking is needed to get payouts quicker, unless items are £10 or under then a buyers feedback when left can get paymets released afte 2 days.

Thanks for the reply plum993,

Seems like a right litle right earner to me. And talking of tracking. Evri admit they can't locate my packages but Ebay still say as it's still (possibly) in transit, wait till 4th March for thier intervention. Ordered 8th Feb!

Sadly evri can say they can't account for a package and then before you know it,it's been found and delivered!
