Happy New Year to all Private Sellers from eBay. To celebrate we will now ruin your "Business" that you have built up over the past 20 years. Your buyers will no longer have the possibility of winning an item at 99p as they will now have to pay almost double your starting price and you will end up being paid less than before because your buyers will incorporate the "Buyer Protection" fee into their final bid.
Although the Buyer may "pay" the fee, it will be the sellers who will suffer from all angles. The final bid will be less and we won't get the money for 14 days as most of us don't use the Simple Delivery option.
I was optimistic following the decision to not charge fees a few months back, but after 20 years this might just be the final nail in the coffin.
