If the item does not arrive by the latest estimated delivery date, you can open an 'item not received' case.

Check the email you got when you paid for the latest estimated delivery date.

The tracking isn't really relevant - either the item has been delivered to you or it hasn't.  If it's overdue, open a case.

Thankyou for the reply do you have any idea as to why the seller would give me incorrect tracking and then ignore me when asked to correct it could this be a scam?

Re: Bought from seller they are not giving me correct tracking number

If I were to speculate about the seller's motivation, I might guess that they could have entered the wrong tracking number (I have done this, entering a zero instead of the letter O) and they could simply be too busy to reply to you/haven't logged in and seen your message because they are preoccupied with Christmas.

But, honestly, I have no idea.

However, if it is a scam, it is an unworkable scam.

If the tracking number is wrong, it will never show delivery to your address.

Unless the seller has tracking proving delivery, as long as you open an 'item not received' case in a timely fashion, you are guaranteed a refund.

What is the latest estimated delivery date?  You need to get the date from the email you received from Ebay when you paid.
