Hi I’m interested in an item that’s quite expensive and I see it has no AG in the ad while other listings (even lower priced jewellery) does have it. Is there a reason why this item doesn’t have the guarantee?

I believe that it meets all of the criteria
the item is 197202803687
edit: I think I know why, it’s because the item is under the ‘vintage’ category and not ‘fine’ jewellery.
Can vintage jewellery not be requested to go through the Authenticity Guarantee process anyway?

No, it specifically states that the item must be 'listed in any Jewellery category except: Antique & Vintage".

No.
Items listed in 'vintage and antique jewellery' do not qualify for authentication.
It is a business seller so you would have 14 days to return your item for any reason, and up to 30 days under the Ebay Money Back Guarantee if it was not as described.
On receipt, you could obviously take the ring to a good jewellers for an appraisal and valuation
