Any help appreciated regarding a faulty item bought using my eBay account balance!

Hi all, wondered if anyone can help please. I bought a electric mobility scooter for £900 on Ebay using my Ebay account balance, two months after purchase the electrical hydraulic mechanism broke away from the main frame. Lots like poor welding joint, but now won't work.

My issue is it's over the 30 day money back that eBay covers, I contacted the business and feel they are brushing me off. 

eBay will not help due to over the 30 days, can't claim credit card or PayPal because it was my account balance I used. I explained this to eBay and they state there is nothing they can do? 

This is a major issue that I don't think eBay realised when building your balance up to spend on eBay.

The business keeps saying it's waiting for new stock to come in, it's been over a month since reporting this to them. I have now noticed they have removed all there listings on eBay, and are not responding to me 🫣

This is why I wouldn't use eBay balance to pay for an expensive item, I like the extra cover I get from my debit or credit card (120 days).

PayPal is also 30 days now.

All you can do now is to contact Citizens Advice and ask them for advice on how to proceed, perhaps issue a legal claim against them (make a note now of their business name and address, it'll be on their completed listings).
