The seller may refuse to accept the cancellation and post the item.

If the listing is false or misleading, you should be able to return the item using the Ebay Money Back Guarantee.

What was the item number?

Edit

I found the item.  Why do you think it's a gaming token and not a genuine guinea?

As the item had finished and you had paid, I don't know what will happen next.

Either the seller will cancel and refund you or they will send it and you will have to return it for a refund.

It doesn't seem like the sort of thing they usually sell so they may believe it is genuine but have listed it in the wrong category - I don't think they say it is a token.

My husband had a spade guinea (a gold one) on a watch chain, as a fob so that had a hole in it.

If seller cancelled sale it automatically makes a full refund.

As ebay have removed it then I do not think you can open a case of any sort and as buyers cannot cancel think you need to contact ebay to get refund.

This item appears in completed items, so looks like a cancellation, so open a NOT RECEIVED CASE as soon as past the expected delivery date.
