eBay GSP service

I have just had  a problem with an item which was deemed ok to send through eBay GSP. Apparently the third party provider (Pitney Bowes) decided in their wisdom not to send item on to buyer. I cannot find out from eBay (live chat for 40 minute!) why it was not sent. NO explanation what will happen to item. Has anyone else had this problem?

If an item reaches the GSP hub and it's deemed to not be allowed to be sent on then it should be returned to you.

Did you check that the item was suitable for shipping to the buyer's country? might be good place to start.

It would have helped to mention what type of item it was, and the country you were sending it to.

It's up to the seller to check that items are within the scope of the GSP, and permitted for import into the destination country.

If PB had to reject an item it should normally be returned to you. It's unlikely that eBay would have a record of the reason.

who 'deemed it ok' to be sent?

if Pitney Bowes are refusing to send it, there is no way it was okay to be sent through the GSP

it is up to the seller to check whether an item can be sent through the GSP and alter their listing accordingly,

just because you could list it with the GSP it doesn't mean it is allowed to be sent through the GSP
