Had to make an appointment with my dentist for next week as i have had a bit of a crater coming in one of my wisdom teeth fillings. OOOhhhh i hate this when it happens as i really do not like the dentist and have had one wisdom tooth out at the to but this is a lower one. they are so big i just hope maybe she can fill it and not have to take it out. It hurts but then stops for long periods so perhaps its not gone rotten yet LOL.
I know theres been other toothy ailment threads on but has anyone else had any wisdom teeth out.?.

Yes Rose, had mine out donkeys years ago, at different times, my mouth wasn't big enough for my teeth, 2 were taken out normally and the other 2 were cut out as they wern't fully through. Won't give you the gory details,

I had both top ones removed but as I am absolutly terrified of the dentist they were done under sedation as a day case at the local hospital , in about 3 hours then free to go home

Why is it some people have to go into hospital to have them out then under sedation???. Is it if you have health problems or something????.

I think its when they are impacted and they have to be dug out, mine were done at the dentist and I had the cavities packed and sent home, I think they stich them now, not sure, mine were done about thirty years ago and things were a lot different then.
ow I feel all funny now talk of the dentist.

Then i had a dentist who was so brilliant it took most of my fear away. the dentist i have now is really nice aswell so it helps. Poor you Stan ooohhh bless you..

a filling is only paying for the dentists next holiday best to have it out
04-10-2013 1:50 PM
Your right there . you pay more money for a lot of messing about when may as well have a little wrenching and its out.
Ive got this nervous sort of gnashing or snapping of my teeth that i do and that can make any pain in my mouth worse. Im terrible. I know it sounds odd. I had a dentist tell me once my mouth was giving me pain but there was no problem with any teeth. It can be chewing something tough that can start a sort of pain up in my jaw sometimes. i love steak but sometimes that makes my jaw hurt chewing it!!!!.

Dont worry im not going to GNASH or SNAP at the dentist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Im laaughinnnnn now i cant stoppppp!!!. LOL

Well like a lot of things, I was short changed in the wisdom tooth department. I only ever had two grow. The two bottom ones. They're both filled, have been for 40 years but I won't tell you of the experience or you'll never visit the dentist again!

Yep, had all four out in one go at the dentist. Appointment was for 4pm and by 6pm I was eating scrambled eggs and toast. I often think that a filling is worse than an extraction.

Wisdom teeth ! Never had any I think because I am as thick as two short planks and never had any sense or got any wiser !
