Had to make an appointment with my dentist for next week as i have had a bit of a crater coming in one of my wisdom teeth fillings. OOOhhhh i hate this when it happens as i really do not like the dentist and have had one wisdom tooth out at the to but this is a lower one. they are so big i just hope maybe she can fill it and not have to take it out. It hurts but then stops for long periods so perhaps its not gone rotten yet LOL.
I know theres been other toothy ailment threads on but has anyone else had any wisdom teeth out.?.

We are all brave souls on here then in the teeth department. I cannot imagine all of them out at once, or all your teeth to have falsies. THAT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE I WOULD KEEP RELIVING AAAAARRRGHHHHHHH!!.

rose they often take the bottom ones out these days in hospital if they are large because of the risk of dislocating the jaw. probabaly a better experience thn in a dentist. do u use a sensitive toothpaste ? if not . then use one but you still need to get it seen to. leaving teeth when theres a problem will lead to serious probs later on.
as fer anyone with jaw ache when eating. this could be fibromyelgia if there are aches and pains elsewhere. yer could let yer dob chew yer food for you but personally i would just cut it up smaller and take your time eating. no need to rush.

Awwwww well they have rang and had to make me another appointment as my dentist is off sick today!!. Its going to be next Wednesday now!!!.
Mozart yes i use a sensitive toothpaste and its one of those cavity healing ones or total ones. I have been really using it round the tooth so wondered if this has stopped it hurting for now?. Its not swollen or red or anything and its not making my jaw swell or anything. Im thinking therefore it cannot be rotten or anything surely?. it has a filling in but one side of the tooth enamel towards the front has come away sort of leaving a bit of a cavy indent but i cannot see a big hole. ohhhhh no i would not leave it, even though im scared of the dentist it will only get worse if i leave it you see. Yes i know that.
I can get pains in my jaw if i eat or chew something tough yes and i was reading that you can get neuralgia or Fibromyelgia in your face or jaw. I was not actually diagnosed with that but my other dentist said that could happen as i went to her once and she could not find anything wrong with any teeth you see.
Im going to try not to eat anything dodgy until next week although the receptionist did say if it starts hurting badly before then i can ring and see if they can get me in before if she is back off sick leave. just my luck, but it cannot be helped. my dentist is lovely bless her. Awww.
Thanks Mozart for your advice and everyone.

When I had mine out it felt like the dentist was uprooting a tree! He practically had his knee on my chest for better leverage
For some reason having them out has caused my front bottom teeth (horrible image there!) to become more crooked over time. I thought it would have made more room for them but instead they seem to have pushed together more. Puzzling that

Oh Rose sorry to hear you have to wait, after you worried about having it down, then accepted it, then they cancelled, shame

Ditto corgi!!
My poor niece had all 4 taken out under GA in hospital when she was about 30.
I've lost a few of mine through abscesses. I'm saving them to make a necklace...

I'll tell you now what I didn't tell you before, now you've had it done!
When I had mine done it was fine afterwards, it was getting it numb that was the problem, it just wouldn't go numb. He injected loads of stuff and left it a while but I could still feel everything, so he put some more in, no difference, so then he injected right in the joint of top and bottom jaw and while the needle was still in there I had to close my teeth together and he squirted more. It went numb in the end and was numb up to the top of my head and down to my chest for about two days!!!!

OOhhhh chicken grandma. How awful. She drilled mine and it was so deep as she was drilling down at the bottom i could still feel it so i cried out once then again!!!!. LOl. She then got the needle and poked it right down in the hole with more numbing stuff and i could feel it work right away. AAHHHHHHH RELIEF. Its still a bit sore today. Its horrible what they have to do !!!!!!!!!!. LOL.
Thanks for saving that info til afterwards Ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL.
