Having trouble deciding what to have this evening, no one is really hungry but everything I suggest gets a no.

Decided on bacon butties and a cup of soup, however on throwing the packaging of the bacon away I noticed it was out of date yesterday, hey ho smelt fine looked fine, so we are going to eat it anyway, so if I am not around for a few days you know what has happened.

One day doesn't matter ed, as long as it looks and smells ok.
I had warmed up left over full dinner from last night because as usual I'd made far too much for two of us. He had lentil soup and toast and I made a cherry and walnut sponge pudding with custard.

Going to have a Chicken Hotpot with Extra vegetables. Ooohhh Gorgeous!!!.

I had a salad with tinned salmon, home made coleslaw & a hard boiled egg.

We've only had a cheese toastie today as we have been out all day. We had fish, chips and peas.
Ed, I think bacon lasts longer than it says on the pack as the use by dates are normally only a recommendation. If it looks and smells alright, it should be fine.

I am still feeling alright, I have eaten older before. After all a lot of this airdried ham/bacon has been hanging for weeks if not months before we get it. I always rely on my nose where food is concerned, and it hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I'm glad that you're still feeling alright ed.

Boiled egg and soldiers - I'm shattered after my day out

I know the feeling Stroppy. Where did you go to today? Apart from feeling shattered, I hope that you had a nice day.

Was not a nice trip books - went to Guys hospital with my orthpaedic consultant and my plastics consultant (neither of whom has a clue about the needs of wheelchair users). We met with a consultant to discuss the use of a new mesh in "the hole" as a last desperate attempt at getting it to heal upwards.
Have agreed to try it, but I'm not looking forward to it - At least 3 weeks lying on my side in a special bed, no sitting up, no standing up, not even allowed to lie on my back. They are concerned about getting pressure sores on the side that I will have to lie on.
Only a 60% chance of it working, and if it fails it is either endure the pump for ever or they have to attempt to amputate. They think that it may well make mobility worse too as they want to move muscles. Will be a really big op.
It was really difficult as I had no time to think about it, no chance to talk it over with daughter, just had to make an instant decision.

Aww Stroppy I'm sorry, I didn't realise. I hope that everything works out well for you.

That must have been so hard for you Judi. You are a brave lady.

Dear Judi,
I have nothing to offer you but words,
sorry, and sympathy and hope all goes well,
but it's not enough really,
when you have to endure such Hell,
You're in my heart and all my prayers,
but that's not worth much anything too,
So, I'll hold you, and hug you, and hope to God you come through.
With all my love, Carol xx.
