Blowing hard in your direction, ladies. It is cloudy, gloomy and OH says it will not rain until later - now what good is that for the washing!. Men!! Mind you he's sulking because daughter(his little girl) went off without breakfast this morning again and I didn't stop her!!!!!. Don't get up, you don't get fed.

Morning it's been raining here all morning. Hoping OH may drag it East with him and leave me with nice weather but not at all hopeful. He's heading into a traffic jam and since he took some music with him I'll be not answering the phone in half an hour.

Slides in wondering if it will cause ructions if I tell you we caught the sun! We had unbelievably glorious weather most of it, a couple of slight disasters that left me with one uncomfortable cold night in the car, and a bill for someone else's camera (big oops) but the highs outweighed the lows and Master A had an absolute ball trying to learn to surf the hard way, we got all the work done, and the thing someone stumped up the fuel to get done. Anyone need any more delivery's from London environs to cornwall? Pleeaase?

Morning Arti. You mentioned railways and Science museum on Dippy's thread. They should (from memory) have loads of info(might not be available unless you ask) on the beginnings of the Underground if he's interested. Started off running Steam trains, not sure if they asphyxiated anybody!.
Weather was lovely this weekend, pity it didn't last for the washing. Supposed to be another nice weekend along the South coast.

G/P thank you for that, he'll be well up for it. Had no idea they had underground steam trains. The books are proving an absolute lifesaver and have kickstarted at least a theoretical interest in learning again, with lass. 🙂
Think it may only have been district line but definitely saw some pics of steam trains somewhere along Earls court area when I lived in London, open carriages too - they had good lungs in those days.

Oh and unless museum staff(the more senior ones) have undergone a sea change, show the slightest interest in a collection and they'll go into so much detail that even the keenest AS interest will be glutted(well remember one day in York when all I did was be one of only 2 customers that morning, even got shown round the storage areas!!).
Also the first(I think) passenger railway in London was a tourist attraction running roud a track in one of the central London parks(reads cheap trashy novels and has a bad habit of checking details are accurate)

Got to go to the supermarket. Yes Arty all fixed now and we are £90 lighter in the pocket. Still it is 25 years old and this is the first time we have ever had to spend anything on it. It needed a new box and bell and back up battery. Two men here 1 1/2 hours so thought that was reasonable.

Is moving - £240.00 and a cup of tes for new box, bell, battery and new battery + checking out both alarm systems. Been done!. Rip off South.
Morning all. Daughter playing up last night(is supposed to be having a test today!!) so not even looking at weather. Preparing to go into battle instead?:|. Both have a day off college and OH up the hozzie so odd day anyway.
