Dooley I remember being told to be quiet so as my Mother could steer a horse drawn load in the snow across the Pennine chain in the 60’s. (feel so old now!) We where trying to get to Scarborough and were threatened with being made to walk behind if we didn’t shut up! 🙂

G/p mines getting thoroughly annoyed at a decision to give out all the homework they forgot to give out all year when he wants the time for making Christmas stuff and winding down not a frantc race to end of term.

Floaty thank you for the mail. It’s all very helpful. They are all busy expending energy claiming credit for setting up the meeting that actually I arranged, so am wondering if they are actually focussed on addressing the issues of more on being seen to be addressing them. Maybe it’s a good sign that they have wind of how thin the ice is. There are a couple of lines I’ve picked up from you that may focus everyone. Thank you very much. ( have written effective action on top line of notebook :-))

Have had another email from a teacher, who would like me to make son understand that when son decides and states that he’d rather be punished than rejoin the class or work in a hostile group, he hasn’t made a choice. Is highly tempted to send a copy of the Emperors new clothes to poor teacher.

Been up all night ill, got some kind of flu/cold thing and feel naff.
Today is our christmas meal, its all booked and paid for but now i feel awful and wont be able to eat much or tast a thing......

Arti - belated Good Luck with education peeps. Son used to make the choice to go to sick bay claiming he felt ill(actually being sick is one of his talents!))

Granny - daughter bit dismayed because college asked her how she was getting on with her coursework and she told the truth and now doesn't think she'll get in. Have explained that one can avoid putting oneself in bad light without actually lying and she thinks next college interview will go better. Unfortunately this was the one she'd set her heart on. Mind you there's more places than students so I think she stands a good chance. She can always get a job for a year - 'cos she'd get a good reference from any employer!.

Gramps is ok now thanks for asking. We are not going out today, grandaughter is coming for lunch and Gramps has made a huge hot pot.Then this afternoon granddaughter and I are wrapping presents up.

have just resurfaced and its still cold got a quick dash to town to visit iceland then its home to wrap last couple of prezzys for Tamsin and clean.Scott still in bed with man flu so he will be groaning all day hope mommas ok and gramps hotpot sounds just yummy tempted to make another trip over pennines for a bowlful
