Morning all, freezing cold(indoors) and not looking out until I have to. Wonders how Arti got on with school(wonders if school survived).
Should be off shopping today. Mind is willing but flesh is weak(hate shopping esp when it's busy). Have a good day.

A quick update, meeting was hard going and I haven’t fully absorbed all of it yet. Thank you for your good wishes, they give me strength when going to these things. It can be quite daunting.
Several professionals involved, and it pretty much ended split down the middle as to whether the school should be going ahead with what they want to do, or if they should be doing the opposite! Several glaring holes where apparent including them basing their latest ideas on incorrect ‘facts’ which they’ve decided to ignore.
I was typing the stuff above yesterday, when the school called to ask me to come and collect him because he wasn’t in a fit state to stay at school, having ‘’been fighting’’. They did say they thought it was over a bullying incident. Far from fighting he’s simply been battered, unless you count throwing the inch of kit kat he was eating at his aggressor after being thrown into a room from behind, and while being punched. He tried to get to the teacher and another child shoved stools in the way to try and stop him getting to her, which worked, he was caught and bodily flung into a table and then battered in front of her. 😞
Ended up with another meeting in the evening.
Today is a special day for us and Master A got up early and arrived at 6am with a candle lit breakfast and Mum pretending she didn’t hear the disaster followed by a word that she wouldn’t have wanted to hear! 🙂
Fingers crossed for you Herbs, around Oban is beutiful.

Arti - thinking about you and Master A and school, good luck. It's only now looking back that the amount of damage son took at school is becoming very apparent(and that was without any major bullying for the last 5 years) but when you are at the coal face the only thing one is trying to do is survive. Looking back there were no other options beyond survival. He survived, we survived(sort of) and he is coping brilliantly with college.

Morning all very cold here. I didn't sleep well last night so had a lie in this morning.
Arty I am so sorry to hear of Master A's ordeal the lads concerned should be excluded. They are tomorrows criminals. Please give Master A a big cuddle from me, they are never too big or too old for a cuddle.
Hope everyone is ok. We have to go to the supermarket today so we will wrap up well. It is a nice day but very cold.

Afternoon all, most of Xmas shopping now completed(forgot the wrapping paper!). Supermarket was the only place heaving so good luck Granny.
Arti, if nothing else the police may gee up the LEA and school into tackling the problem. Might be the way to go though as you say may cause you all more grief out of school.

Granny have given him an extra hug from you which was much appreciated.
I have to be a bit careful what I say at the moment as the police are involved but informally at present. What the school are saying the position will be owing to their relationship with the school policeman is not good to say the least.
Will be interesting to find out if more senior police are aware either that that is the position, or that their role is being presented to parents as in the schools pocket.
We do have some result, it’s been decided they made a mistake in describing it as ‘fighting’ and it’s now being treated as bullying.
The lad will be made to spend today working in school out of classes, and is excluded for the last three days of term. This is as good as it gets from school. Head’s said he was unaware of how serious situation had become and is basically saying his staff aren’t following his procedures. A lot of time spent agreeing with me that the situation’s very wrong and in some places actively backing up poor behaviour, but no concrete decisions about how it will be dealt with.
G/p it's me who's had to try and gee the LEA up into getting involved, am not sure how effective it's been yet. Yesterday saw him randomly headbutted in the stomach by an older lad, and shouted at by a teacher because another child stole the class sheet from a teachers desk, that it’s Master A’s turn to be responsible for, and after refusing to give it back, then went as if to, but snatched it back at the last minute, tearing it into three. Master A’s sending his teacher a note to say he won’t be completing his ‘shift’ with it.
Today and two and a half more days, and we have some respite.
Gertie hope you get heating soon 'tis miserable not having it. So glad r/l is good and you're looking forward to Christmas. I'm normally very bouncy over it and am finding it difficult at the moment but intend to join you before to long. 😄

Morning all. We overslept until 07.00 this morning so didn't have time for looking for thread. OH has disappeared off to work with a temperature and feeling sick - somehow don't think we'll be going out tonight. 'tis really cold here.
We went shopping last night, town centre stalls and shopping centres(yep we can't just have 1) and main shops were open until 10pm - it was weird but really busy early evening and everybody was cheerful and enjoying themselves. It's about time our council/town actually organised something that worked. Primark was quite qiuet and the staff really helpful after 9pm!.
Arti, thought police might gee up LEA as doubt yours will be the only complaint about physical bullying at the school. If police fail we have found a polite fax addressed Personal attention of Chief Constable really shifts the blockages(especially at 10pm) - number is in the phone book(really it is!). Thinking of you both.
Glad Momma is recovering. Should be home soon. When son had his op he had 1 day spaced out and asleep, 1 day puking(think he's allergic to codeine) and came home the next day!.
