Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

hellooooo one and all...

I has made somefink today, Can't show you guys as it's a suprise for someone. I'm sure they will let you have a peep when they get it.:-)

OH has been trying to enlarge a pattern for me on our photocopier, it's taken him ages, but still it's kept him quiet!!:^O

I've done a bit of gardening too, bought a lovely pot for my clematis, took it out of it;s old pot and then found out the new one isn't big enough:O I'd even trimmed the roots. So it's gone back in it's old one for now. I paid £35 for that pot too!!!!! (well £14 was my winnings on the National so it wasn't that bad)

I'm sure I'll find something to plant in it.....hhhmmmm I would like another Acer]:)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

The weather hasn't been fit to do any gardening here today.  It's blowing a gale and we have had some rain.  I just got on with my knitting.

Glad that Huggles is having a good time.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Huggles have fun in the sun 😄

PCC I hope you have a wonderful time 😄

Welshie....poor you 😞 hope you feel better soon and hope you can get to grips with your pattern 😄

Hello one and all :-x

CB you've been doing similar to me today regarding the gardening.

I needed a big pot, some gravel for drainage and some fancy, pretty stones to go on top, for my lovely new lavenders.

I have grown them indoors, I bought 4 plants, and have ended up with 2 live ones, one is fairly strong and one is super strong and growing really well 😄

OH and friend went to go off to get what I'd asked for, whilst I was preparing dinner, the bloomin battery on the car had gone flat:-(..........OH had left the side light on all night last night :_|

AA came and got it going and off they went again, so have now got my new pot and the rest of the bits :-D...........just now debating whether to re-pot now or leave it till tomorrow, feel really sleepy following dinner!!!

My pot was £18, nice big large blue glazed pot, got it at a little garden place in the country 🙂

Love and hugs to all :-x

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

tara, an acer is a maple tree. I have a large one in the border and one that is low growing and spreading, that's in a pot. I also have one in another pot that is a patio one so it won't grow too big. Now I have a matching pot I guess I need another acer to put in it, then I have a pair I can put on the steps:-)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Is Von (pcc) away to Paris yet?  Just wanted to say to look out for the Lovers Bridge over the Seine (close to Notre Dame) -  you attach a padlock with a wee note declaring your love, hopefully for your OH.

I last saw it 3 years ago - and it was pretty fully then.  There were noises the Govt. wanted to stop the practice, but don't know if they have.  It's a lovely sight.

Mind you, these past few months, there have been times I'd probably padlock my OH to it and leave him there, lol  B-)

& don't forget that once you've done the padlock up you're supposed to throw the key into the Seine so that the padlock can't be undo.

and they are very expensive, although, in my opinion, worth every penny for the show they give.  You have to look after them though, beautiful 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

OK, prepare for *thud*.  Peeps here last week from letting agency for Sports Events. Ryder Cup, September, 2014 - Golf apparently.

Price for little house - for a week - £5,000 - for 2 people - would that be acceptable?  FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS - less their 12 and a half percent.  And now I'm expected to sleep?????

Offered the same for the guest part of this house - 2 bedrooms both ensuite.  Are golfers rich?  They want the accommodation for the film/reporting crews.  Wanna come to Brazil?? World Cup - that's football - I'll take Stan. ]:)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Just back from income support appeal for youngest son. Judge has allowed the appeal, he is entitled to both income support and housing benefit back dated to December 2011. I know it will take months to get it all sorted and back pay done, but just relieved that it will now be right for the future.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Just back from Wrightington Hospital, will be having 2nd hip done within the next 8 - 12 weeks, maybe sooner if he has a cancellation 🙂  X-ray showed there is hardly any hip left now!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Welshie I hope that they get a cancellation for you.  I bet your in agony.  Both of my hips are bad but my left one is worse.  Last I had my left hip x-rayed a couple of years, there was wear on it then but it has got worse since.  I do find that both hips seem to be worse during the night for some reason.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

You might be able to take my place next Tuesday welshie!  They rang me at 8.30 this morning to say could I go for another blood test today.  The one from Thursday showed low sodium levels. Anyone know what that indicates, the young nurse I saw today said have more salt on my chips.

Hope you get in soon anyway. :-x
