Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Good afternoon to the non-scabbies too!:-D

I'm doing something very fiddly too, thanks to Maggie!

The ear-achy granddaughter saga, it turned out that it was PE and she couldn't fasten the laces on her trainers!:_|  She'd been taught to tie them and she'd agreed that even if she couldn't do it on the day it didn't matter as other children couldn't do it and the teacher was happy to do it for them.  But, for some reason (perhaps she'd been bragging that she could do it..and then found she couldn't???) she didn't want to be there. Daughter is going to have a word at school because this is the third time she's done this when things are not going her way. X-(

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Walks in, slams door & sits with CK in mad at knitting corner. X-(

Bl**dy gobbledegook again. X-( Had gone wrong by second row of the pattern. Had to undo all the rib as well cos I couldn't stop the pearl ones laddering on fine wool. X-(

AND I'm being subjected to the s*dding grand prix as well. Droning noise for blinkin hours & gallons of testerosterone talking about tyres AND then I find it's only the qualifying bit so it'll back on tomorrow. X-(

AND I've run out of wool on the waistcoat I was doing, that is going OK & IT'S BEEN DISCONTINUED! So on Monday you're all out searching for 2 balls of Twilleys Freedom in shade 411 which is very similar to BUT A TOTALLY DIFFERENT COLOUR to the one I bought on here the other day. X-(

A lot of famous serial killers were knitters. It was a way of venting their anger when the knitting went wrong.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Is it safe,....has she gone???:O

What with scabs and temper tantrums I don't feel safe round here any more!:-(

Come to think of it, my knitting's not doing too well.:-(

I've made one of a pair of ugg slippers for grandson, I think he's got quite big feet, size 5 at nine years old, but the slipper will fit the gruffalo they're so wide.  Perhaps he could use just the one as a foot muff? Or he could use it as a sleeping bag?  Or keep his bike in it? Or dad could park his car in it.....  it may have possibilities yet!;-)

Been busy here and have virtually finished my Advent Calendar. Need more dowling for the bottom to make it hang right, but otherwise done.

How lovely is that???:O

OMG the patience!!!:O

That's something that could go down the generations isn't it?  In a hundred years time some little child, on Christmas eve will be told, 'Your great great great great grandma Mags made this, many years ago'

That's certainly an heirloom, Well done Mags!:-x
