I have spent the morning doing SWQ paperwork & have stopped for some lunch now. Quite cold outside. I hope the frosts aren't coming back.:-(

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Staggering up to the PO in a minute as I have to rest for a couple of days after the jab!

Glad you liked her CK.:-)

Knitting related question....my friend has a (bought) knitted cardi that is made up of different panels of pattern & colour, sort of knitted patchwork. I have been looking for a pattern to make one so if any of you see one in your travels I would be very interested.Ta!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all

Sort of quiet before the festive storm - thought I'm trying to keep it all simple & stress free.

Thought about wrapping some pressies - got as far as finding some gift bags!! Might spend time tonight turning last years cards into tags.

Good luck Maggie for your jab - hope it makes things better for you 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I saw the forecast too Merlin 😞 If its right it means I suspect that term will end early like it did last year. Little son is destined never to play carols in the church with his school band!!

Mind you he's playing 6 times elsewhere over the next week and more the week after!!

Best you stockpile supplies and hibernate till New Year!!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Of course - perhaps they just know that they won't starve if they are nice to you!!

You've reminded me to do an online order this week - have a load of vouchers to use against it.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I'm glad it didn't hurt Maggie, I didn't say before but I've heard they can be very very painful.  Let's hope it does the job.:-D

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I meant at the time of the injection Maggie :O, I honestly don't know about afterwards. I should think it might be a little sore or achy (that doesn't look right does it?:^O) but nothing too bad.:-x

I'm still feeling pretty ill with this cold:-(  Hubby cancelled my babysitting stint yesterday. It's strange, when I woke up yesterday morning I looked at my clock and there was  a big piece of paper over it with 'Babysitting cancelled. Stay in bed' printed on it. He'd left the walkie talkie there as well (we use them when he's down the garden, which is all day) so I buzzed him and he came in and brought me a cup of tea.  He knew I'd been awake in the night so he'd rung son and said I was too ill to babysit. He's never done anything like that before!  He'd suggest it but leave it to me to decide.  I didn't know whether to be annoyed at him for doing it, or pleased at him acting all macho and 'protecting his woman':^O:^O  I'll still be having her tomorrow though and I don't know how it will go as although she's usually very good, apparently she's got chickenpox, so she might be a little fractious.:-(

Grandson has been ill overnight and off school today with very bad S and D:_|  I think most of his bedding has been thrown out and he ended up sleeping on his bedroom floor as he has a high bed with a ladder and it took too long to climb down the ladder.  Poor boy is like a skeleton at the best of times.:_|
