I'm absolutely shattered.  We've been out for the day.  We've been to St Annes near Blackpool.  We had a meal at a hotel on the sea front after which there was entertainment laid on but we went for a walk and sit and a sit and a walk along the seafront.   Before we left, mum had tea and a biscuit and I had a coffee and a biscuit which was included in the price.  As I've said, we are now shattered.  It was a lovely day though and the weather was lovely.

oh I love St Annes Chris, it's a great place for a nice walk along the sea front. We used to go there a lot when we lived in Southport.

Lytham is nice too, that' was a favourite place for us too. There used to be a good car boot at the cricket ground then and we would go whenever we could.

I love that picture of Lottie & Molly. Molly should learn that it's Lotties bed though.

yes i agree with that  Maggie,   Lottie is top dog,

should be teaching  Molly that  she wasnt invited to lotties bed by lottie  , 

is that a nicer warmer spot than where her crate is?

No, she's a tart, she likes to sleep around!! 

I was surprised when I weighed her today.  I thought I must be doing it wrong.  When she went to the vets last Friday for her first jab,  (the day before we got her) the vet registered her weight as 2lb 6 oz.  I weighed her today, just 6 days later and she's 4lb 8 oz!!!  Nearly twice as much!!  Perhaps she's a Newfoundland in disguise!!

She had a new bigger bed today.

I don't know CG, at this rate, she'll be busting out of her crate soon.....

Illness is so lonely and I pray you never get

Anything that engulfs your world and washes you out to sea, and yet

As you clamber ashore again and climb the steep rocks

You say to yourself - ok, one more try and then I'll stop

Then hope returns and the outlook gets better

And friends are a help, in person, by email or letter

I have a bunch of chums from this very board

That I would not trade for a pirates hoard

Others too that used to belong, but now I find that they are gone

A magic box has arrived, full of goodies galore

With candles and smellies and bunting and more

Hand made flowers so real, you'd swear they had a scent

And I want you to know just how much it all meant

To me, who has had a dark week from the start

I thank you from the bottom of my heart

Living is so special, I love it, even the mundane

Just tending my garden or seeing the spring flowers up our lane

It's not about diamonds or gold or millions of pounds

It really is love that makes the world go round

It is what people do, in person or by deed

That confirms what the man said 'Love is all you need'.

Please don't feel pity for me, although sympathy is good

As is a kick up the backside when I am in a black mood

I am perfectly contented for most of the time

Dancing round the kitchen and pretending to mime

To Diana Ross and Baby Love, or Dusty or Blondie

And others that won't spring to mind

I'm happy enough in myself and currently 'on' Johnny Cash

When it comes to music I'll give anything a bash

But then I'll stop... and remember ... and try to forget

It's just the way it is and I think of others, who have met

The same fate as mine

And are still here to tell their tale - 'Right down the Line',

I'm in verse tonight because I had to compose

A letter to a dear friend, who is feeling morose

We write to each other this way, and have done for years

Through good times and bad times, each slaying the other's fears

I wish I still drank, because I am certain

That the music sounds better ..........................................................

Until the following morning, when I can't pull back the curtain

So goodnight all and I'll leave you with this thought

Get up and get out there because good times can't be bought.
