Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

CB I used old embroidery hoops bought at the charity shop for mine.

You can also buy polystyrene hoops to make them.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I used garden wire, did a double length & twisted them together once the fabric was on. They just push into a round shape.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all.   Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected.  The weather here doesn't look too bad at the moment.  I'll nip into town latet and get a few things that we need and then I'll go for a swim.

Hugs to all that need them.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Off to sewing group today. It's a bit damp here this morning but I don't think it's as cold.

Morning all

Wet and windy here but it actually looks lovely through the window with all the autumn leaves falling past the window like a sea of colours.

went to Rally GB yesterday and stood round in a forest for 6hrs in the cold watching cars go past at silly speeds, not really what the rest of you do I know but great fun for me Smiley Happy

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.  We had one almighty downpour earlier on and it's a little bit breezy.  We are going out for the day on Wednesday and looking at a weather forecast earlier, it is going to be quite breezy.  It's a good job that we will be undercover for the day.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

OK Pcc  what did ya get for each other, pppfffttt....don't think you leave us in suspenseerm smiley.gif

We were in the garden making the front path along the garden, getting it ready for the stones. I was raking the soil up into a pile so OH could take it away...but where to?? it was doubling in size everytime I raked it!!!! we had an old coal bunker in the garden and we filled it with soil!! good grief, didn't think there was that much soil there.

today we were talking about it in work and a guy asked us where we put the excess soil...OH chipped in quick.."we buried it"...and he didn't get what he meantdoh smiley.gif (they're going to have to be quicker than that with my OH wit about)

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

aawww nice, we once bought each other a vase each for our silver wedding! they were a pair and it was the only way I could talk him into paying for them hahahaha. They are lovely, blue and white in the pattern I collect. Didn't dare ask for a birthday present that year though.

Is it for the kitchen? I love those old clocks.

I have just put the felty bits I've made into two boxes, I didn't realise I'd made so many, never mind, I've more robins to cut out though as I think they may be the best seller.
