I have just impulse bought a mahogany cabinet on Facebook! No idea where I am going to put it. The lady is delivering it later on this evening.

Is it a biggun Maggie?
I'm sure you'll find somewhere it will fit........

Most unlike me! lol No it's not too big. I just fell for it!
19-11-2013 6:17 PM
Oh that's very nice...I like it and it's a usable size too......if that makes sense....

Maggie...it's lovely - very unusual - almost art deco in appearance

Just had an email to say that they accidentaly broke the glass. Perhaps someone told them it was worth more than they were asking.

Tell them that you'll still take it...& watch them squirm

Nice cupboard that Maggie. I agree with Merc. Tell them that you'll still have the cupboard but you want it slightly cheaper as you'll have to replace the glass.

Don't want it now! lol

that happened to me, bought a cruet set, it was cheap,it was Victorian and it went on ebay for only £7. Next thing I got an email saying it had been broken when wrapping it up....next day it was back online for sale!!!!!! When I tried to report it, they sent a really violent nasty email, like it was all my fault.......
Stan, yes we are still collecting money, but I sent half the money to DT (£125) and they didn't even send a thankyou reply. I asked for one as I wanted to prove that I'd sent it, so I could show the girls. When I finally got a reply it was as if we'd sent £1!!!!! the girls were not impressed, so have asked could we send the rest of the money to the Donkey Sanctuary instead. So we will be collecting for that. We still have £120 left over to add to the total.
Rainy sent me £20 she had made on MDCC, and I have sent that off to DT as she had collected for them.
I've made a load more felty bits now and I've just cut out some robins to do tomorrow. Gingerbread men to follow ....... if anyone is interested!!

Well how stingy of them CB .................. I mean most charity's have a generated email/letter they send out where only the name and amount need changing and I think is the least they can do especially when they rely on donations to carry on the work they do

Morning all.
We are off out for the day. We are going to a place called Oswaldtwistle Mills. We have been there before and we will be undercover for the day which is a blessing as it's blowing a gale here and it's also raining as well. Mum wanted to stop off for yet another food shop on the way back but I've put my foot down with a firm hand and said a most emphatic no. I don't think that it will do my mum much good being out even for a short spell in the weather we have today.

Evening all. We've had a good day out today and we've not been back long. We had a lovely three course meal of creamed mushrooms on brichotte, turkey with all the trimmings and sherry trifle. When we got there, we had a coffee and before we left, we had a hot drink and a mince pie. There was also plenty of retail therapy in between the eating and drinking. Mum bought me a pair of boots for Christmas and she bought herself a pair of shoes. We got some wool so I'm pleased over that. We also bought a lollipop for Grace with her name on and a top for her for either Christmas or her birthday. I am suitably shattered at the moment. I wonder why.
Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected and hugs to all that need them.

You can't beat wool shopping can you CK? I offered to knit a top for the great grandaughter of one of the ladies on the trip. I'll be seeing her next week so I'll get the pattern and the wool off her. It shouldn't take long particularly if I get the sewing up department in on the act as well. BTW, the sewing up department happens to be my mum and she is a good knitter so it shouldn't take us long between us.

Forgot to mention that my mum bought herself a jumper as well today. It's been a long, tiring day but it's been a good one.
