Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

PCC, sorry to hear that, you must keep warm, cold weather is your enemy!!

Hopefully, they'll be calling me in within a week or two. If I don't hear anything by Monday, I'll be calling them up, maybe for a cancellation or to book myself in.

Sounds pathetic, but I can't wait to get it done, I sound like a hypocondriac!!!

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Couldn't agree with you more Stan.  By the way CB, I don't think that you are a hypochondriac at all.  When you're in constant pain, it's a bind and it really gets you down.  I know from experience.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

ah, you do know too Chris, I think you are very brave yerself like!

I've cut out a shed load of felty bits yesterday, so I shall have some sewing to do. I've made a large tray bake (for guide dogs tea & cake fund raising) and a dozen muffins as a barter for cooking apples, a dozen muffins for us girls tomorrow, and a wee cake for OH as he always misses out on the cake!

now you know why I'm poopedwinking smiley.gif

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Awwww thanks CB.  That's very kind of you.  I can quite see why you are tired.  How you keep going I do not know.

We are going out for lunch tomorrow.  There'll be four of us.  There'll be my mum, two ladies she used to work with and me.  I'm looking forward to it.  We are going to a pub where they two main meals for £9.  You get a good choice as well.  I think that I'll have gammon, chips and mushy peas.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning. I have a grey envelope up there but if I click on it it says you have no private messages? Sunny again here but it rained overnight. Wouldn't it be good if it only ever rained in the dark 🙂

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

I like your thinking grumpy as grey dull and drizzly here too.

Everyone has the little grey envelope but you only have a new message if a little number pops up next to it, will send you one now so you see what I mean

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Afternoon all.  It's cloudy with a little bit of sun here.  Went out for lunch today with my mum and a couple of friends.  I had gammon with chips and peas.  Mum had steak and ale pie, chips and peas.  Don't really feel like anything else to eat yet.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

well come on then....what did ya get? no point in half a tale ya know....

glad you enjoyed your lunch out Chris, I like to eat out at lunchtime too, not late on in the evening.

Yus Twishy...I shall be taking in some of me felty bits. I can't take it all as I doubt they'd be too pleased if I took in the stuffing. I'll just do all the edging and make them up when I get home. I'll be two week housebound so I can do them then.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

We are going to see Grace tomorrow at her nan's as we have been invited for our tea.  Grace's nan to her to a shop the other day.  Grace decided that she would have an ice cream.  The lady in the shop asked Grace did she want her to unwrap the ice cream.  Grace said 'no because it will melt'.  It was explained to her that it wouldn't melt so she took the wrapper off and said to the shop assistant 'Lady, have you got a bin that I can put this wrapper in please?'  It wasn't said in a nasty way but it sounded so funny.  Considering that she's only 2, her vocabulary is brilliant.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Morning all

Very dark here today so think we will be making some fat balls for the birds and maybe a trip to the farmers market later if the rain holds off.

Also need to find some time to bake as Mr S seems to have worked his way through a whole fruit cake in the couple of days he's had layed up.

Hope other peeps have a good weekend
