Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Dear Stan, your little daughter sounds amazing, if you get the time pm me your email (which I know I have somewhere, but not today Josephine), and I'll sponsor her a few bob.

Dear Stroppy, Glad you are home again, I am fighting to stay at home if I can't get this nerve pain under control.  Do you know anything about a drug called Pregabalin?

Hello to everyone else, have a great hol in France Von - which area are you off to this time?

Sorry Gina about your phone - hope you get things sorted out - where are you going on hol?  You always seem to go fabby holidays.

Chris - no piccie yet of your wedding outfit - just on hanger will do Woman Tongue

Night night all and thanks to those who keep sending me kindly messages which make me weep, but with happiness heart

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Blimey, I'm definately not having a good week. Just made a donation to Miss S & spelt my own name wrong, how bad is that?

RDW, we;re off in November on a 3 week caribbean cruise, on the same ship that we did our med cruise on last september.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Obviously I know how to spell my christian name which is Christine but I've had it spelled as Christeen and Christean.  Even when I spell my name in full I still get alternatives.  Good job I don't mind.  Much prefer Chris though.

hard for you to take Stan, but she's her mother's daughter! determined and courageous.

Maggie, I collect Booths' British Scenery, I used to collect about 6 different blue and white patterns but I just don't have the room here for it now, so we have settled on that one.......because it has cow's on it!laffin smiley.gif

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Rainy - I know little about Pregabalin, I know several folks who swear by gabapentin, and Pregabalin is supposed to actually be more effective, and at lower doses. What I do know is that it isn't a quick fix, you need to give it time to build up, and often they start on a very low dose and gradually build it up, also whatever you do, don't stop it suddenly, it needs to be reduced gradually. Because Pregabalin can be effective at lower doses, there may be less of a sedative effect (often described as "brain fog"). I know that in this area it is very difficult to get a doctor to prescribe Pregabalin as it is much more expensive than gabapentin.

Did the parcel of Xmas card samples arrive safely?

Morning all.  Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected this morning.

Weather looks promising here today - at the moment.  Whether or not it will be alright is another matter.

Hope that everyone is as well as can be expected.  Hugs to all that need them.

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

Good Morning everyone, sorry im not around much just now so much to do before we go away on Wed.

MIL wont go into the home this time as she has done before when we go away , so have had to arrange extra carers , make sure she has enough shopping in etc .      Now we can get on with our stuff , bedroom looks like a jumble sale until hubby gets the suitcases down .false.gif

Re: THE FHG SEWING THREAD :-D

What a nightmare PCC. FIL sometimes digs his heels in like that.

Glad you managed to get extra carers sorted as you need a break.

We are having to take FIL away with us when we go.

We had our meeting with SS on Wednesday and we have agreed that FIL needs carers twice a day. No idea what it will cost him as he needs to be means tested. No idea when we will hear about the Attendace Allowance, so it's just wait and see at the moment.

Learning and PCC, I hope that you soon get care sorted for your families.  Honestly, it's a nightmare.  Woman Sad

We have had a lovely day weatherwise here so far today but it's just started to cloud over.  About an hour ago, I went to the doctor's and it was 26 degrees.  When I came out of the doctor's about 10 minutes later, it had gone up a degree.  I have to go back on 10th September to have a biopsy on a patch of ecezma on my chest.  The doctor isn't too worried as I've had the ecezma for about six years.  No matter whicI'll just have to wait and see what the biopsy says.
