Good luck in juggling all your jobs Mags, and best wishes to your F.I.L.
It's supposed to be our hottest day today, 32/33 degrees. Storm due tonight or tomorrow. They're sawing a big tree down next door, what a racket!!
Daughter and family have just set off for a few days at Disney Paris. It's 35 degrees there!

Morning all.
It's cooler here, with a breeze - I have switched the fan off.
Hope you all have a good day, I am hoping that "himself" will be in a reasonable mood when he comes back from the bank, and will help me sort through my card making stuff so that I can work out if I need to buy anything to do this Xmas card order.

Hi folks...still no water. I'm hoping once the farmer has dealt with his beasts, there will be a wee trickle to whet me whistle

Back after 36-hour journey from Brazil to find it much hotter in England than over there. Well it is their winter.
See I have 12 pages or so to catch up - you lot do natter. Off for a read.

Still no rain here. I just put the thermometer outside (IN the sun) it was just a fraction below 50! The tree fellers are working in that with high viz jackets and hard hats and boots on!!

Afternoon all. Well, the plumber and his son have made a start on putting our new central heating boiler. We are just waiting for them to come back after having their lunch.
It's still quite hot here but at least we have got a breeze. That's a lovely photo Maggie.
PCC, I hope that your knee soon gets better. You feel suchc a fool when you fall over like that don't you.
Off to get on with some knittin.

Hope your knee is alright. I tripped up a kerb last year and thought I had just grazed my head and then later on found I had a couple of broken ribs!
Just caught up with 12 pages - hope teeth, legs, feet, udders, mother-in-laws etc. etc. are all going on well!
Love the peg bags - might even consider getting rid of my plastic ice-cream tub that I put my pegs in!
Twishy's drawings are amazing. I try to draw and paint but they always look like something a small child has done.
Just had phone call from daughter to tell me one of her cats (10 year old Lily) was run over and killed last week. She waited until we were home to tell us. Beautiful cat - long-haired tortoiseshell who always attached herself to me when I visited as she knew I took the food sachets our cat wouldn't eat! Although they live in a village, the cars speed down their little road. They got her to the vet but she died a couple of hours later - broken pelvis etc. They still have her sister - she lost half her tail in a road accident (not the same road). She will miss her as will their dog.
Must go and unpack - i think the jetlag is setting in ......
