Spring's on the way!

Took a trip to Cardigan yesterday and there were bursts of snowdrops on the verges.  Daffodils are ready to bloom on the roundabouts.  Birds are singing.  Feels good; it's been a long old Winter.

We've got a lot of snowdrops, crocuses, irises and primroses in flower.  We've got tulips and daffodils pushing through.  I agree about the birds singing and I thinks it's lovely.  It's still a little on the chilly side and it's been rather wet today as well.

I've been watching 3 blackbirds fighting over a female, gawd, they really go for it don't they? they were rolling about on the grass really pecking each other. I've never seen that so close up before, it was a suprise!!!! won't she be the lucky one eh? 3 of them fighting over her!!!!!!

It would be Mouse you're right.  We've had to male blackbirds fighting because one had invaded the other one's territory.

I thought spring was here when I left for work this morning so I wore a lighter jacket. By the time I finished work at 6 it was peeing down, gale force winds and I froze my wotsits off on the way home.😕

It has been a bit cool today and wet as well.  Earlier on, the Met Office forecast said that we are having sleet on Sunday afternoon.  I can't wait for us to have some nice weather.

I think we've been very lucky this winter.  No snow, mild temperatures and a lot of sun.  It's only February, supposed to be one of the coldest months.

I've known the weather to be a lot worse than it has been this winter.  We had snow about three weeks ago.  We've had quite a bit of frost though.

They are now forecasting some mega high tides for the weekend.  I will see if I can be by the water at some point.

They forecast rain and strong winds for us for the next few days.  On the weather forecast on our local BBC news earlier on, they said they we may have snow over the next few days.  The Met Office have forecast thunder for Monday I think it was.
