Deno (proper name De Novo) was adopted by FHG posters in 2005 when one of them, Shebalator, rescued him from slaughter.
Then - 700lbs underweight with a broken jaw and multiple other ills.
2008 - still struggling with sarcoids but finally fit enough to have a light rider up for the first time so he could
join his mates on a jaunt round the local lanes
2009 - due to sheb’s declining health, a new home was sought for Deno.
A very brave ebayer named upthecreekyetagain ( very apt name I think you will agree) agreed to take him on.
So, now Deno lives in Surrey with the Creeky family, plus 3 lovely mares. He has 5 acres of grass and orchards to roam in and is very happy.
His sarcoids still remain a problem, but a new vet is investigating them further to decide on the best course of palliative care.
Visits can be arranged, please contact Creeky for more info.
Deno is reliant on fundraising and donations for his food, medicines and all the things that make his world that bit nicer.

heres the whole sorry tale of the criminal frank freyer that happened a few days ago 
There he was at the junction waiting and watching. Holding up the traffic but he didnt care. nope not one bit despite the hootin and tootin of cars behind him backed up to the m25.
Frank knew what he was waiting for. even in his current state of senile dementure somewhere in the deep recess`s of his old tiny mind he knew he could ask a police man for help. You see old frank couldnt remember where he was, how he got there and where he was supposed to go.
After some time he saw a car that looked familar, it had police on the side of it so frank thought bingo thats who can give me the answers and in his excitement he stamped his foot hard which made the car lurch forwards at high speed. The poor police man in the police car did his best and used all his skills he had spent months learning to take evasive action but frank was determine to stop the police car one way or another and he thought to himself. i know i will blow out his tyre and started singing at the top of his voice. 3 wheels on my wagon and i`m still rolling along . heaven knows where he remembered that from, certainly not his childhood since they didnt have waggons or even the wheel in his childhood. How do i take out his wheel thought frank, i dont have a gun on me so i cant shoot it. haa haa he thought i have a nice sharp thingy with letters and number on my what ever it is i am sat in . that will have to do so frank aimed him thingy into the tyre of the police car. RESULT!!!!!! yep frank got the cop cars wheel which resulted in some lovely black marks all over his thingy but fortunatly the tyre was still intact.
Both cars came to a stop and the police men got out clutching a breathaliser and urgently radioing for a sargent. they needed back up to deal with this dodderly old git that had tried to kill them.
Now then Sir whats your age they asked. Frank had to think ( which flippin hurt his old knackered brain considerably) and ureka he remember he was 65 . but why did the policeman want to know his age he asked. all he wanted to know was where was he what was he doing and where he was supposed to be going. The policemen explained carefully that because he was so old he didnt need to blow as hard in to the breathaliser. oh said frank. thats very thoughtful of you. still puzzled why they wanted him to blow into this thing and wondered if it was to test for bad chilli breath . maybe they could recommend a better tooth paste for his one remaining tooth. He thought vaguely that this might please his wife, he was sure he had one but he was damned if he could remember her name. He he made a determined effort to blow into the breath test with a little wheeze but it was so feeble it didnt even register and stayed at zero.
By this time the poor police driver was convinced he was drunk and this was all a bad trip. what else would explain a situation where a mad old codger who didnt have a clue where he was, what he was doing or which matron he had escaped from, rammed his police car and tried to kill them.
So the policeman begged to be breathalised as well. he needed convincing he was sober and this was a real emergency. So he was duely tested and of course the night mare he was in wasnt down to him having a tot in his cocoa the night before.
The other policeman asked frank if he knew if his brake light was out. brake light said frank whats that. whats a brake? he went through all the pedals and switches in the car pressing them all and said is that one of them ? haa said the policeman your brake lights are working now. by this time the policemen were all showing sighs of having as nervious break down and in desperate need of a cup of tea. So they ignored the non display of a valid tax disc and hurriedly gave frank directions on how to get home with instructions to tell his wife not to let him out loose on the road again and put the blue fasdhing light on and raced back to the station for some prozac and a nice cup of tea.

That is not what happened at all 
It was a pure accident - alright the rest was fairly accurate.
The police were very nice and sent me on my way with the tube from the breathalyser as a souvenir. 🙂

sorry been awol/. spent a good bit of this summer in surrey . at home now so frank and corrie can have a rest. though back to surrey in oct for a certain young ladies wedding.
