That video Elph was obviously taken before Deno visited
He's scuffed up all the wood chippings, demolished the plants and eaten half the hedge 😮 :^O

I for one am always more than happy to fundraise for Deno, and the other hossies too 🙂
Will be taking part in the December MDCC, and I think I still ave some of the prints from the sketch of Deno which my daughter drew. I will try to look them out and get one up for Auction 🙂
Deno, Posh, Lulu, and their human companions are more like Family to me & mine, and we all look forward to being able to visit them all:)

OK - who told Deno some nice people were fund raising for him X-(
I was late going down to check him this morning, work getting in the way.
It was about 11 when I did get down there - no sign of Deno or Posh.
Thought nothing of it and hung up some fresh hay nets and prepared their morning feed.
Called for Deno and Posh, after a short while Posh comes galloping into the stable area - still no sign of Deno. Lots more calling and still no sign of the lummox.
Oh well, nothing for it but to clamber through the fence and struggle through the mud to see what has happened to him.
Found him in the middle of the orchard, pawing the ground and looking very sad for himself. Quickly checked him over and loosened his coat, nothing obvious to be seen so I encourage him back towards the stable with calls and various silly walks whilst trying to remain upright in the mud.
Halfway back he suddenly goes down, panting hard - in the muddiest possible place of course 😞
Putting on my sternest voice I command him to get up - absolutely no reaction 😮
Rattling a packet of sweets in my pocket produces not the slightest reaction.
Squatting down in the mud and talking gently does at least cause him to raise his head, lots more encouragement and much jumping up on down on my part and he staggers to his feet.
Grabbing him by the neck part of his coat I virtually drag him back at a stiff pace to the stable, there is no way I am going to let him go down in the deep mud even if I end up losing a welly boot myself :_|
In the stable at last I manage to get his rug off just before he goes down again, still panting heavily. At this point, still with just the one welly boot on, I ring the vet and Coralie who is working.
As normal the vet is brilliant, he arrives within 15 minutes, just after Deno has got up and is looking a lot better 😐
Temperature fine, heart beat fine, gut making normal sounds but possibly a little more so than normal. Hand and arm up Denos backside and a pile of poop deposited on the stable floor.
Gives Deno a pain killer and we are told to keep an eye on him - if he gets into distress before 8 this evening when the pain killers will wear off then we have to get the vet out again as it could be more serious.. Seems hopeful that everything will be OK so fingers crossed until tomorrow, in the meantime he's not allowed to eat so I'm wondering if there will be any walls left by the morning.
PS - I managed to find the lost welly boot. 😄

Stable rug on - floor cleaned - back to house - check camera.
Normally I'd be cross having just mucked out but he's pooped - hooray 😄
11-12-2012 4:43 PM
Oh crikey Creeky - that horse!!!! :_|
Stable cam isn't working for me at the moment, but I'll keep trying.
I'll feel free to snigger at your mud hopping adventure once its certain Captain Chaos is proper better. He's not going to be a happy horsey with an unfilled bucket though..........good luck to the stable tonight

Oh yay!
*shakes head as its not the first time I've cheered Deno poo*
11-12-2012 4:58 PM
Takes proper animal people to be able to cheer poo :^O
"Rattling a packet of sweets in my pocket produces not the slightest reaction."
Think that is a very scary statement 😮 😞
Denocam also not working for me but hope the lad does OK tonight :-x

Wasn't working for me so put "compatability" mode on and it asked to download software, accepted, installed and I can see the wall very nicely!!!!!!!!!!
11-12-2012 5:09 PM
He doesn't want us getting complacent does he? :^O

I've changed the stable cam so the old link won't work - you need to use the link up there ^^ and will have to reaccept the activeX component.

Ah ha! I aimlessly clicked assorted buttons and got a lovely view of said cheer-worthy Deno poop along with the behemoth himself 😄
