I have an Aunt who is 75, and lives on her own, she doesn't drink, doesn't smoke, doesn't eat chocolate or use bubble bath, she knits her own hats and scarves, she doesn't sew or paint, she doesn't wear perfume or makeup. She has a car, but has all the bits that go with it, triangle, torch etc. She spends a lot of time in the garden, but we have done the garden thing for years and have even started having some of the presents we have given being given back to us as presents.
She lives in an old cottage, that is full to the gunnels with furniture and old china and paintings so anything modern would look out of place.
We have always given a garden centre token but last year the look we got said - oh dear not another token.
We are at a complete loss what to get. H E L P

Brother did that last year, and in October it was still in its box, so last week he came down and put it together. Well hung it from the tree, it didn't take any putting together.

What about speaking to her hairdresser to see if you could pay for her next couple of visits or for something she might like to have done, highlights, perm, colour, whatever the hairdresser thinks she might like. This is always assuming she uses the same one all the time ! Otherwise how about cinema or theatre tickets that she could take a friend or a meal for 2 in a nice restaurant?

Maybe dressing gown might be a good idea, not sure how many of them she has, but will check with mum if she has given any in the last few years.

Now I like that one Melin, might loosen her up a bit, just told husband what you suggested and he spat his tea everywhere, he is still laughing.

Auntie, that sounds like a good idea, maybe they do vouchers for a set price I will definitely look into that.
She wouldn't go to the cinema or theatre it's too noisy.

Merlin that looks lovely, well done you. Personally I would love it. But it isn't like the one the boys send, (Harrods) very snobby I am afraid. Tablet I love tablet, my uncle is a scot and we always used to have some when we went up on holiday. lovely.
Some great ideas peeps thank you,
Wool,
Dressing gown,
Hairdressers voucher,
Toy Boy (love that one)

Melin that really is lovely, and that has given me an idea for an older friend of mine who lives alone and I know she would love that.
Woops crossed over there, I meant the Tea set,
My goodness she would have apoplexy with that
